The Blushing Bride!

Click on photo to enlarge images!
Divine  soft and subtle hues of pinks, blush and coral flowed through every room of the mansion, creating a timeless feeling of romance. A candy buffet in the same color theme added a touch of whimsy to the decor, treating each guest with a tasty thank you from the bride and groom.
We loved the framed detail shot of the wedding ring, and the bride's bouquet was picture perfect!

No such thing as too many Flowers!

Click on image to enlarge photos!
When spring is on the cusp of arriving we just can't help ourselves to enough flowers!
Fragrant blossoms in vibrant hues come together to create an indoor garden at every table.
Wheat grass delicately wrapped in recycled newspaper and tied with a sheer silver ribbon provides the perfect place for dancing billiballs to play. Kiwi vine interludes with Cinderella stock and sweet peas, creating amazing posies that we tucked into an eclectic collection of timeless tarnished teapots!

Flawlessly Framed!

Click on image to enlarge photos!
With spring just around the corner, we found March to be the
perfect time to celebrate the beginning of a new life!
In anticipation of the bulbs that would soon be peaking up out of the ground we dressed the windows with fragrant flowers, some in an enchanting collection of vintage perfume bottles and others floating in mid air from glass tubes and teardrop vases.
Rustic frames added a subtle artistic touch of interest to the flowers
as well as to pictures of the bride and groom.

Expect the unexpected!

Stylish, elegant & inviting!
Unexpected elements make such a difference! An European style ivy garland ushered guest inside the mansion, where antique chapel windows suspended from the ceiling added a second filter to the bright spring sun. The mirror from a charming vintage dresser, draped with wheat grass & flowers, captured a collage of reflections, showing off the many details of the reception;  the cake, rustic & romantic looks amazing. Looking closely you will notice that it sits on a table cloth made from a recycled newspaper, displaying the current events of the day the couple were married.
A majestic collection of spring blooms offer a contrast of beauty to the  turn of the century milk cans.

Fabulously Fun!

Click on the image to enlarge photos!
As we look forward to Summer and outdoor weddings I couldn't help going back through our photo archives of 2011. This particular wedding was among our favorites! The father of the bride was actively involved to ensure that his "little girl" had the wedding of her dreams. The playfulness of her childhood merged perfectly with the gorgeous sophisticated women she had become. Exquisite flowers in bright vivid hues looked amazing as they intermingled with masses of helium balloons and ribbons. A pastel collection of Salt Water Taffy created a nostalgic candy buffet that brought out the kid in everyone! The wedding itself was a splendorous collection of FABULOUS & FUN!

Soft & Subtle Hues!

Friends and family gathered in the South Conservatory for a Wedding Luncheon, prior to the formal reception. Soft touches of blushing bride pink looked sophisticated and elegant on linens of champange and gold. Simple classic clusters of babies breath and garden ivory roses floating in vintage tea cups from the  classic snack sets from the 50's created a simple timeless element on each table.

A bright and innovative style is created when two dynamic eras artistically collide!
A Topsy Turvy cake, made by a friend of the bride,  adds an unexpected element of whim as it balances on an ornately embossed silver platform,
...& elegant vintage crystal candlesticks take on a double personality as they make their debut in trendy hues of turquoise and snappy kiwi green.

As we approach daylight savings we are encouraged to know that we have all survived Winter and that Spring is truly just around the corner.  We are already seeing the first brave crocus poking up out of the ground, and soon we will welcome a new generation of robins poking their heads out of their nests in the tree tops that surround the mansion as they join all of us to bask in the warmth from the sun and delight in the treasured longer days! We anxiously await the first glow of green on the trees as well as  the first of many amazing outdoor weddings in the gardens!

Elegant in any Season

Weddings held early in the year offer the flexibility of relishing in the flurries of Winter or ushering in the first blossoms of Spring. This Monet fashioned cake seems to compliment both seasons, honoring Winter and welcoming Spring!

The Blossoms!

Click on photo to enlarge image!
As we work our way through the last breaths of Winter we look forward to the awakening of the Gardens. Although many of our brides stage their weddings in the heart of Summer, there is nothing quite like the splendor of Springtime at the Chantilly Mansion.
The Gazebo is encircled in vivid green leaf buds that magically refashion into the most brilliant white as billions of fragrant blossoms literally burst forth before our eyes, filling the Corner of Church and Main with the incredible sweetness of pear blossoms.
Many great dates still remain in April when the trees are in their prime.

Review from Lisa's Mother

We wanted to thank Lisa, Michael and their family for allowing us to be part of their wonderful day!
This is a review left on Wedding Wire from Lisa's mother that we wanted to share!

Due to illness in our family, my daughter's wedding date was moved up, giving us three weeks to plan the wedding and change the location to the Salt Lake City area. As the mother of the bride, and living in another state, I was so grateful for the quick response and assistance from the owner and her excellent staff. She returned my inquiry within a few hours and my quote emailed to me that same day. The wedding was much more than we had hoped with such little time to plan due to the convenience of everything we needed right at the mansion. I highly recommend the Chantilly Mansion for a wedding and ceremony venue. The facility is beautiful, the staff very professional and the food is excellent!

Winter Wonderful!

Click on photo to enlarge images

This wedding was similar to photographing the moon or fireworks. It was impossible to capture just how magnificent it truly was! Amazing to think that we met with Lisa and her mother, and her fiance, Michael for the first time just 48 hours before the wedding took place. Lisa had dreamed and planned for a Fairy Tale wedding in New Zealand, but life made different plans for her and Michael. I am always delighted to see how sometimes the unexpected has a way of creating something even more magical than we could have ever imagined on our own. Every detail made the wedding of her dreams come to life in the shadows of the Wasatch Mountains. The tables were topped with felted wool and dressed to the hildt with a variety of shimmering ornaments for each guest to take home as a memory of this endearing event. Everywhere you looked there was something to intrigue and delight. Hundreds of origami flowers, lovingly hand folded were scattered throughout the mansion, creating a splendid paper garden. This is definitley one that will last in our memories forever!

Origami Cake!

Click on photos to enlarge images!

A simple two tier cake baked and iced by My Sweet Wedding Cakes was brought to life with intricately folded origami flowers of ice blue, silver frost, and ivory snow.  Lisa and Michael had originally dreamed of a week long summer wedding celebration in New Zealand, where Lisa resides, but an endearing story of love and compassion and life's unexpected circumstances shifted their wedding to Utah. Lisa and her mother selected the perfect color palette, creating a Winter Wonderland filled with warmth and love that enveloped every guests. Not even New Zealand could have been more wonderful!

Origami Bouquet!

Click photo to enlarge images!
This bouquet was only one of the perfectly amazing elements of Lisa and Michael's wedding this past Thursday. Lisa made her own bouquet with hand folded origami flowers in a soft palette of blue, silver and ivory, embellished with clear gems and pearls. Her Maid of Honor carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet, and each of the honored guests of the wedding party wore unique variations of paper flower corsages and boutonnieres. So Stunning!
